Between Two Worlds: The Deer Woman is a shape-shifting woman which may have deer antlers or hooves. She can be a figure of vengeance, punishing those who disrespect the natural world or commit other transgressions. She may be seen as a temptress who lures men into the forest, where they are either seduced or killed. She may also be associated with fertility and the power of creation representing gathering natural world and the cycles of life.
