DESCRIPTION:Remaining Native\, a feature documentary film premiering at SXSW is partnering with Nike Running to host a 5K run in Austin Sunday\, March 9th at 8:00 AM. The run will kick off at Maňana Coffee promptly at 8:00 AM running led by documentary participant and Native American distance runner\, Kutoven Stevens\, alongside Nike Running. Post-run there will be a celebration at Maňana with live music\, free coffee\, Indian tacos\, Nike product demos\, Powwow Dancers  from the Austin Powwow Committee and giveaways. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special meet & greet with Billy Mills\, Native American Olympic Gold Medalist. \nBilly\, a member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe\, was born and raised on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. In 1964\, he won an Olympic Gold Medal in the 10\,000-meter race\, a race that is often considered the greatest upset in Olympic history. He is the co-founder and National Spokesperson for Running Strong for American Indian Youth\, a national nonprofit working to empower Native American youth across the nation by meeting critical needs\, revitalizing culture and language\, and supporting them in pursuit of their dreams.Billy Mills alongside “Remaining Native” film participant and distance runner Kutoven Stevens will be signing free copies of “Wings of an Eagle” and “Remaining Native” movie posters.
