In 1964\, he won an Olympic Gold Medal in the 10\,000-meter race\, a race that is often considered the greatest upset in Olympic history. He is the co-founder and National Spokesperson for Running Strong for American Indian Youth\, a national nonprofit working to empower Native American youth across the nation by meeting critical needs\, revitalizing culture and language\, and supporting them in pursuit of their dreams.Billy Mills alongside “Remaining Native” film participant and distance runner Kutoven Stevens will be signing free copies of “Wings of an Eagle” and “Remaining Native” movie posters.
